West Course (Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club)

The West Course is a Par 68 measuring 5606 yards in length and offers a testing round of golf along its beautiful and natural terrain. The heathland layout doesn't feature any bunkers but is a top challenge with several testing holes including the signature 14th which has the potential to make or break your round.

Old Course (Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club)

The Old Course is a Par 72 measuring 6518 yards in length. The course is full of indigenous hazards and you will have to play a strategic game to obtain a low score here. There are many fantastic holes including the signature 6th; debatably one of the best short par 3 holes in the UK. At 128 yards it requires the utmost precision from the tee shot because of the stream that protects the fast moving green.

Located just South of London, near East Grinstead.

Golf course

Royal Ashdown was founded in 1888 and the clubhouse was built 5 years later. The club is renowned as being a traditional club and consists of two 18 hole courses; the Old course is ranked as one of the top 100 courses in the British Isles and the West course. The quality of both courses and the friendly, welcoming staff in the clubhouse make the Royal Ashdown a must visit for any golfer.

Our view: Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club

Both the Old and the West Course at Royal Ashdown Forest require accurate play with its narrow fairways and small greens. It really is a joy to play these two classic British golf courses.
