This course was used for the 2006 Amateur Championship and 2003 Open Championship Final Qualifying. The first 2 holes of the Shore follow the coastline southwards, with the fifth green being that of the original 18th, beside the old clubhouse. The 6th tee is adjacent to neighbours, Royal St. George's, with the last four holes playing back towards the north and the new clubhouse. The 1st of the Dunes is probably the most difficult of Prince's 27 holes with the tee shot into the prevailing southwesterly wind. The first 5 holes are again played out to the boundary with St George's and the last 4 back to the clubhouse.
