Market Drayton Golf Course (Market Drayton Golf Club)

One of the best kept secrets in the West Midlands, Market Drayton Golf Club is a heathland and parkland combination with some delightful features. The majority of the greens are backed with towering evergreens, and the two loops of nine take you out on a lap of two areas of mature woodland. At 6,295 yards, par 71 it isn’t the longest course in the region but the numerous hazards, blind shots and sloping fairways make it a track that requires accuracy and concentration.

Golf course

Reputed to be one of the best courses in Shropshire, Market Drayton Golf Club is a wonderful establishment of impressive heritage. Founded in 1906, the club relocated in 1926 to the beautiful area of countryside where it has remained. It is the peacefulness that strikes you when you arrive at the club which is hardly surprising given its rural location. The course has been used for number county events and prides itself on being a match for even the most accomplished. Practice facilities and a great clubhouse complement one of the best and undiscovered venues in the region.

Market Drayton Golf Club is in a wonderful location with beautiful scenery across the Shropshire countryside. The course is a real challenge with excellent greens but if you aren’t on your game then just enjoy the surroundings and this excellent historic course.
