The championship standard 'Emerald' (West Course) is a cleverly designed track by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas providing an excellent test for all levels of golfers. At 6,240 yards from the yellow tees, it threads its way through the trees, lakes and picturesque streams of the 160 acre estate and features American-style holding greens which are often guarded by water and sand.

The Sapphire Golf Course is the shorter of the two layouts at Macdonald Hill Valley, measuring at 4801 yards. Although the Sapphire Golf Course offers a more leisurely round it is still challenging with smaller greens requiring an accurate approach to each hole.

Location

Located just outside Whitchurch, just off the A49. 10 miles from Stoke-On-Trent.

Golf course

Designed by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas in 1975, the two 18 hole courses, The Emerald and The Sapphire courses create very different tests for all golfing abilities. Golfers also benefit from the excellent 4 star service and the refreshments that can be found in the clubhouse. There also buggies available and a well stocked pro shop.

An excellent two course venue that offers an extremely pleasurable golfing experience. Make sure you get the ball in play off the tee otherwise you could be looking at some big numbers on the scorecard.
