Old Course (Letham Grange Golf Club)

The par 73 Old Course is a is 6,968 yards in distance and is ranked in the top 100 courses in Scotland. 13 of the 18 holes contain water to be aware of, with the 10th being a particularly special hole that will challenge even the most experienced golfers. The more recently constructed par 68 Glens Course is a lot shorter than the Old Course at 5,528 yards. This course offers a much more relaxing round, however some of the narrow fairways on the back 9 can prove to be tough.

Glens Course (Letham Grange Golf Club)

The Glens Course is the shorter of the two at Letham Grange at 5,528 yards from the white tees. It offers more of a “relaxing” round of golf than the Old Course, but is by no means a pushover. The course winds through the wonderful woodland surroundings and offers some stunning views over the Angus Glens in the distance. The opening nine is relatively straightforward, however the closing stretch of holes are a lot more demanding and golfers will need to step up their game to finish well.

Located in the peaceful Angus countryside, just North West of Arbroath.

Golf course

Recognised as one of the leading courses in the country, the Old Course was designed by Donald Steel and opened in 1987. The course has a varied layout and uses a combination of tree-lined fairways, undulating terrain and well placed water hazards to test golfers abilities. Letham Grange has also played host to the Scottish Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship on two occasions.

Our view: Letham Grange Golf Club

This course is one of Scotland’s hidden gems. Both courses are great, although players looking for a good challenge should be encouraged to play the old course. Both the fairways and greens are in immaculate condition and this course is a must play if in the area!
